First Dive

It was very fortunate that one of the other guys in my class happened to own property on Lake George.  Our instructor told us we usually just went to the beach and walked into the water.  By the time our final exam came around, the weather was pretty cool and it was nice to have a house to go warm up in between dives.

This is what I look like in full gear.
Kinda dorky, don't you think?

Here I am in the water for the first time.
The lake was cold and dark,
my tank slipped out of my BC and
even with 30 lbs. of lead I couldn't sink.
Still, I had a great time and, naturally, passed my exam.
